Cover of the Week is my presentation of the best cover from last week’s comic book releases, based on the art, design, and overall good looks.
Wow it’s been a while since I did this thing. It’s a bit busy out there in the real world, so I guess that’s what’s to blame for my lack of online activity lately. But anyways, lets move on to more pressing matters. Comics covers! And it’s John Cassaday all over again!
I Am Legion #2 – John Cassaday
John Cassaday makes pretty awesome covers. Aside from the whole bad-ass thing going on with the dude in front (with the shadows and stuff), Cassaday uses a simple bright red background (with the swastika) to bring attention and catch the eye, and then BAM! he adds the burning face inside the logo (if you’ve read the book, the “logo” or “mark” appears on some key characters). Like two covers in one, like ice cream on top of ice cream. And if you think the cover rocks, wait till you see the interior art! And yes, it’s by John Cassaday too! I think it’s the best looking World War II horror story ever, so far (well, except for Hellboy of course).
What’s your cover of the week?
