Cover of the Week is my presentation of the best cover from last week’s comic book releases, based on the art, design, and overall good looks.
It looks like most of the covers I’m featuring today are for books that have variants or having multiple covers. I guess I can call this week, a VARIANT WEEK! Ok, let’s kick it off with my fave cover of last week..
Ghost Rider #28 (both covers by Marc Silvestri)
I’m not a big fan of Marc Silvestri’s art, but I do like some stuff that he puts out, like this one! I don’t have much to say about this cover (or covers), except that it packs a “punch” just by looking at it. I mean, it’s like an action scene suspended in time, with the rotating fiery wheels, blazing heads, and flinging chains. I guess it’s just catchy to the eyes, especially the blue/yellow flame thing contrasting each other.
Honorable mentions: Hack/Slash: New Reader Halloween Treat! #1 by Tim Seeley, Fall of Cthulhu #2 by Jeff Spokes, Amazing Spider-Man #573 Variant (err, Colbert) Edition by Joe Quesada (because I like Quesada), and Fables #77 by James Jean! (click for the full view)
Sorry, no Panel of the Week today. 😦
